Zoya Ornate Collection Swatches

My zoya ornate collection came in today, and I couldn’t wait to swatch it.

Here is all 6 next to each other. However it’s a litte fuzzy. All the polishes were easy to apply, they dried with a pretty smooth finish and only needed one layer of top coat to be completely smooth. With the exception of Electra, that will probably need 2 layers of top coat.

Zoya Storm is so much prettier than the photos will allow. I can’t believe how pretty this color was. I plan on doing a comparison with this and Butter London Black Knight. This is under fluorescent lighting. It probably could have been opaque in one coat, but this is two for insurance. This polish was a dream to work with.

Direct sunlight

Logan with the flash on. This was my biggest surprise out of this collection. I am not a huge fan of greens however this color is beautiful. There are gold flecks in here that aren’t captured very well. 2 coat to be opaque and a very nice forumla.

I don’t know why this color didn’t capture very well, but it is very pretty.

Ziv is pretty. I don’t like gold, but I see myself using this with some reds to make a great Christmas gradient or something. It is very pretty. I’m just not a gold person. This is with the flash. This was the thinnest polish of the collection, but I was good to go after the second coat, but I am sure a third coat wouldn’t hurt.

Ziv in direct sunlight.

My favorite is Blaze. Please ignore that I am holding the Aurora bottle. I am new to tumblr and can’t figure out how to rotate it, but you get the gist. Such easy application. I think this is my new go-to polish.

Blaze in direct sunlight

Aurora with a flash. It doesn’t sparkle that much in sunlight, but it does sparkle.

Aurora in direct sunlight 1 the first coat was thin and I thought I might need 3, but after a good thick second layer I was good to go. It was a little thick so I think the Zoya fast drying drops will be needed for this. Or 3 thin layers.

It’s blurry, but I wanted you to see the sparkle

I guess I saved the “best” for last. However, I wasn’t impressed at all with Electra. I think it’s mostly because I was expecting a polish, not a top coat.

This is one coat of Electra. I was expecting a silver-based polish with the beautiful holo bar glitters in them. But it’s just the bar glitter in a clear base. I think it would need 5 coats to be opaque. I accidentally deleted my picture with 3 coats, but it wasn’t opaque. However throw a silver polish under it and you will never know the difference.

Again with the blurry, but look at the yummy holo goodness!

I just put 1 layer of a silver color and 2 coats of Electra. I should have done 2 coats silver or 3 coats Electra, but I hate when my polish is that thick. This is going to be one of my polish that just looks pretty in the bottle, but never gets used. I was pretty disappointed with this color.

Overall, I am so happy I pre-ordered this collection. You can order them at www.artofbeauty.com
